Kaitaia is a great central place to stay being only 15 mins from both east & west coasts & handy for fishing, surfing boating & beach walks.

Wear loose comfortable clothing. Our visits are on sand much of the time so you do not require heavy footwear (the walk down to the light house is a gentle gravel track) - open shoes & sandals are ok. Good to bring a towel to wipe away the sand - also swimwear, hat & sunblock during the summer months & whatever the season, a camera & a smile!
